Announcement - ToolBook 9.5 beta release #3 is live

Today we posted an update to the ToolBook 9.5 beta release.

In addition to the Apple iPhone and Voice narration features found in previous beta releases, this beta release has the following enhancements:

  • A new feature that makes it very simple to create course completion certificates

  • PNG Graphic support added to the Resource Manager

    Announcement - ToolBook 9.5 beta release #2 is live

    Today we posted the second beta of ToolBook 9.5. We’ve had incredible feedback throughout the 9.5 beta program so we’re excited to be able to provide some more of the new features you requested.

    What’s new in this beta release?
    In addition to the Apple iPhone support found in beta release #1, this second beta release has the following enhancements:

      Voice Recording Feature for Page Narration - This makes it easy to record a voiceover that plays when the learner enters the page.
      Enhanced and Simplified Right Click Menus - the right-click menus have been replaced by more standard, simplified, and user-friendly menus
      And more –other enhancements are described on the Preview web site.

    Developing content for small mobile devices makes a lot of sense — the adoption of these devices around the world is just tremendous. Mobile learning is growing at a rapid clip as well. I see business professionals embracing mobile learning on all sorts of devices, and SumTotal intends to be there every step of the way. Today we are announcing the availability of a preview release (aka beta) of ToolBook Instructor version 9.5. With this release you can get going today creating learning and rich interactive content for the Apple iPhone. We’re initially focusing on the iPhone because of its ability to display & run rich interactive web content, its expected mass popularity and its screen size.

    It has come to our attention that using the ToolBook Instructor 9.01 CD ROM installer to update your 9.0 installation to 9.01, can results in missing catalog objects.

    If you have received your Instructor 9.01 CD ROM but have not yet installed it, please read the following.
