ACHPro is a self-paced, CD and web-based training tool developed to increase knowledge of the ACH (Automated Clearing House).  Updated yearly, provides ACH and EFT professionals with a new method of measuring their knowledge and understanding, as well as showing which competency areas require additional development. The Game section presents questions that are automatically selected from a question pool and randomized for a fresh look each time. The Timed Test simulates the AAP examination with a count down timer and interactive digital bubble sheet. ACHPro has enjoyed success for over 10 years and has recently been redesigned and updated for web delivery by Interactive Advantage Corporation.

Performance Management Tool

The Performance Management Tool is being developed by Buckman Laboratories as a system to provide a uniform corporate process across boundaries and cultures. This project will have huge impact for the company, as Buckman Laboratories has about 1,500 associates distributed in 18 countries and speaking altogether more than 15 languages. Technically, ToolBook was chosen as an authoring tool flexible enough to use not only for developing quick prototypes but also for delivery of the final application.

English Course

Created in native ToolBook, Spelling Fusion is an interactive CDROM of English spelling and vocabulary development for adults. It is available in American English, British English and Australian English versions. It is database driven with interactive exercises, games, voice recording and student tracking, with over 4000 head words arranged by familiar topic, 16000 voice files, 8000 photographic images and hundreds of animations.

SmartSim for ToolBook Instructor 9 is a productivity tool that has evolved over several years from the need to write hundreds of interactive simulation training lessons in the most efficient and expedient manner possible. It provides a set of core template pages and associated page editors to assist authors and writers in constructing sophisticated software simulation lessons. SmatSim completely integrates with the new Smart Styles and Smart Pages feature of ToolBook Instructor 9.

Assessing Student Knowledge of Research Design

This lesson introduces the basic steps in scientific research to college students in a Psychology class. The lesson then presents a review of SPSS and concludes with some practice in entering data and doing a basic statistical analysis of a data set. The simulation pages are set up so that the student has the option of proceeding through the simulations in either Practice Mode or Assessment Mode. On each Simulation page, a Show Me button allows the student to view the simulation in Demonstration Mode.

Online Library Search

This application is a simulation that teaches college students how to perform an Online Library search to find articles that are required for a Psychology class. The simulations are set up to run in Practice Mode with a Show Me button (Demonstration mode) on each simulation page. An added feature of this simulation is that it was created as a Smart Book using ToolBook Instructor 9, meaning that a custom Smart Style was applied and custom Smart Pages used to build the pages.

New Employee Orientation

This native ToolBook application includes basic company information for new hires, multimedia files highlighting key personnel and division information, and offers a self-updatable feature to maintain currency of data. The designer used an ini file in ToolBook to validate user information which then personalizes the content for each unique employee. This is an excellent example of an e-learning application that addresses the need for timely, current and relevant information available any time for a global audience.
