Virtual Product Training
Virtual classes allow you to participate in synchronous learning - but
from your own work environment! The SumTotal Systems virtual classroom
environment offers learners access to the same information they would
receive in a live classroom environment, but without the associated travel.
As a learner, you will have the opportunity to interact with the instructor
and other learners while alternating hands-on training with instructor-led
demonstrations.
Hardware Requirements
Please make sure your computer meets the following hardware requirements before signing up for a course. These requirements ensure that you can fully participate in the online training. If your learning environment does not meet any of the following requirements, you should consider attending one of our instructor-led training (ILT) classes.
- High Speed Internet Access (DSL/Cable). A 56K modem will not be sufficient for an on-line class.
- Pentium 166 or higher with at least 48 MB RAM
- Windows Compatible Soundcard; speakers or headphones
- VGA (Video Graphics Adapter) able to display 256 colors or more: It is recommended that you set the Display Properties Setting to 1024 by 768 in order to view the entire Webex presentation.
- Windows 95 SR2 or higher
- 100 MB free hard disk space
- CD-ROM Drive
- Speaker phone or phone with headset
- For Assistant classes only, a trial version of the application can be provided upon request.
- For Assistant classes only, the student manual and Student File CD are sent the week before the class starts; the appropriate files from the Student File CD need to be installed before the start of the class.
