Localizing Content with
ToolBook Translation System 9
This training is an interactive, instructor-led course that provides hands-on experience in using TTS to extract ToolBook content into a database for translation, and import translated content back into ToolBook. It addresses the main features and functions of TTS and allows you to test these out in ToolBook.
Course Objectives
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Use TTS tools to move content from ToolBook to a Microsoft Access database for translation
- Use TTS to view source content and translate into another language
- Bring back the translated content into ToolBook for Web deployment

This training is intended for users who want to use ToolBook Translation System (TTS) to translate ToolBook content into other languages.

Format: Instructor-led class
Duration:½-day Virtual (4 hours)
Materials: Includes the following:
- Training Manual: An ILT manual with concepts and exercises to be used during the training
- CD with class files: Contains the files that you will need during the training
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for this course include:
- Meeting the basic system and connection requirements necessary to view and participate in the training, including:
- Hardware Requirements: Intel Pentium III 750 MHZ processor or equivalent, 256 MB RAM minimum, 100 MB free space on system drive
- Bandwidth Requirements: 256+ Kbps connection
- Proficiency using a Web browser
- Basic Windows knowledge, including the ability to:
- Launch applications using the Start menu
- Use the taskbar to switch between Windows applications
- Use Windows Explorer, to navigate the file structure, change the view of file listings, move and copy files, and create new folders (or directories)
- Basic knowledge of ToolBook
